On 13 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis will be visiting the Czech Republic, where he will attend the High-Level Dialogue on the Indo-Pacific in Prague.

During the event, representatives from Europe and the Indo-Pacific region will discuss relevant political, security, trade, connectivity issues and a possible synergy in the implementation of Strategies for cooperation in the Indo-Pacific between the European Union and other like-minded countries.

The event is organised by the incoming Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Ministerial Forum for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, organised by the French Presidency on 22 February in Paris, was a crucial step for the implementation of the EU Strategy for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. The success of the forum has provided an excellent opportunity for a new annual discussion format between the EU and the Indo-Pacific region.

During his visit to Prague, Landsbergis will also meet with the Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, the Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and the United States Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs Camille Dawson.
